Leprosy Spectrum Classifier
This research prototype places a patient on the Ridley–Jopling spectrum, from the tuberculoid (TT) to the lepromatous (LL) pole, from up to seven routine findings: the number and type of skin lesions, the history of type 1 and type 2 reactions, the bacilloscopic index, the histological index and the anti-PGL-1 serology. Any finding may be left blank. The position is read from how closely the patient resembles 26 reference cases written by leprosy specialists. It comes with a confidence band that widens as findings go missing, the contribution of each finding, and the three reference cases the patient most resembles. It was developed for a thesis on the classification of leprosy. It is not a medical device, it has not been validated in a clinical setting, and it must not be used to make treatment decisions.
Enter the findings you have for a patient and see where they fall on the Ridley–Jopling spectrum.
